About Artistic Endeavours
"One who works with their hands and their head and their heart is an artist."
- Francis of Assisi |
At Artistic Endeavours, we focus on individual and collaborative projects that aim to develop creativity, curiousity, critical thinking, problem-solving and self-confidence through the Arts. We wish to see our campers experience the joy of creation, unlock their artistic potential, and learn to appreciate the value of the Arts.
|
We believe that one's confidence as an artist can be nurtured outside of specialized Fine Arts training. We believe that everyone is an artist, and can benefit from expressing themselves and exploring their world through artistic endeavours.

Joyce JollymoreMy name is Joyce Jollymore and I am a retired elementary school teacher with 36 years of experience working with young children. I have loved teaching and helping my students to explore the world around them through visual art, drama, movement and music.
Since my retirement from teaching at Nellie McClung School in June 2016, I have wanted to work with children in an arts-focused environment. Katherine and I became friends when she volunteered in my Grade One classroom. We share a love of planning and creating art projects and look forward to sharing that enthusiasm with our explorers. |
Katherine ZabanehMy name is Katherine Zabaneh and my love of the Arts began at a very young age. I am always working on my portfolio which includes sketching, painting, and sculpture.
I have been volunteering consistently for the last six years at my son's preschool and elementary school. This time working with children ignited the idea to create an art camp, and with Joyce on board the plan was set in motion. I am influenced by my surroundings with an eye to create and transform simple objects into works of art. I see the potential for the extraordinary in the simplest things. I have great trust and belief in the creative process and look forward to sharing my artistic endeavours with our explorers. |
